  • Your Creamed Spinach recipe is absolutely to die for. I love creamed spinach and especially fond of Boston Markets. I recently found one that is better. It's at the "Golden Corral". But, don't go hunting it down because yours is better tahn any I've ever tasted. I'll be cooking at home more now.

  • Love it, love it. I'm 1 of those strange people that love spinach, raw or cooked.

  • I made the Creamed Spinach. It was delicious. I added a little more salt and a pinch of pepper. And one half teaspoon of sugar. A restaurant in our area makes it and adds jalapeno peppers to it. I tried adding the peppers the next time I made it and it as even better

  • Thanks it will become a regular in my house.

  • I modified your recipe for lactose intolerance. I replaced the whipping cream with soymilk, used a cream cheese substitute, and eliminated the Parmesan cheese (the butter I kept). It was delicious. Thank you.

  • I made the Creamed Spinach a couple weeks ago and to my surprise, and my husbands we could not tell the difference between Boston Market's and this reciepe. Delicious!!! Thank you.

  • tried the recipe and liked it very much. We have improvised on a great recipe and made it to our own tastes. We really like the creamed spinach at Boston Market and find that this recipe is as good if not better than the original!

  • Fantastic! This was easier to make than it looks and it was a HUGE hit!!!

  • I used fat free half & half, and added some fresh garlic and the result was very tasty. My 22 month old toddler even gobbled it up! Thanks for the great recipe.

  • I was searching the internet for a creamed spinach recipe for my 19 month old twin girls and came across your site. It has become my new favorite website! The creamed spinach was delicious! I didn’t have any half and half, so I used evaporated milk. I also added a handful of mozzarella cheese. The girls cried when I cleared their plates- they wanted more!!! God Bless you for getting my kids to eat spinach!

  • Excellent recipe. Way worth the time. I added a little more salt and pepper though. My kids even loved it

  • so terrific! I added 1 tbls. BACON GREASE just for fun. this is great hot or cold. Very tasty as a dip with crisp lavosh. thanks!

  • I am from Australia and when I saw creamed spinach I though "oh yuck....not in a million years!!! But I made it anyway as my husband wanted spinach...and to my surprise it was the most wonderful vegetable recipe I have ever tasted. I have made it twice this week....the only thing I did different was I put the creamed spinach into puff pastry and made it into a pie. I also added some of my homemade chilli to it . I will be making this recipe once a week through the winter. Absolutely the best. I would rather have an extra serving of this and not bother with dessert (sweets) I am checking out heaps of other recipes on your site here as well.....haven't yet made any of the others as I just can't get past the creamed spinach yet lol.

  • This was scrumptuous! I tripled the recipe to make enough for eight people. To reduce calories I replaced the cream with water for the roux and just added a few extra tablespoons of light cream cheese. Instead of butter-sauteing the spinach, I squeezed it dry and mixed in a little onion powder, cumin, and garlic. It was loved by all, and no one left without first asking for the recipe, so thank you! I also had about a 1/2 cup of the spinach leftover and used that to make a spinach/artichoke dip simmering together 1/3 cup water, four slices "Naturally Light" Land o' Lakes Jalepeno cheese and 1 small jar drained artichoke hearts. Ate this with toasted pita chips and veggies. Yum!

  • we made it last night and it is even better than boston market. I will admit i added a little extra cheese, but onlt a bit. we will do this side with christmas dinner from now on. GREAT!!!!

  • I had some creamed spinach in Louisille, KY (of all places) which was exceptional...when I got back to toronto, I found your recipe - was even better than Louiville!

  • i tried it with fresh spinach instead of frozen...yum

  • Yummy. My 10 year old has loved creamed spinach since she was a baby and her brother worked at Boston Market. We've tried different recipes over the years, but this was the easiest and it turned out great. I will use more onions next time because we all love the flavor of onions with our veggies.

  • i tried this recipe in august, it was fantastic, just like boston market. i lost the recipe and searched the internet until i found it, i will never loss it aqain.

  • I have made this recipe numerous times. I am on a low carb diet and I substitute 3tbs of cornstarch for the 1/4 cup of flour. This recipe is GREAT! and best of all my kids love it. Better than Boston market if you tweak it to taste. Thank you, thank you, thank you

  • I dont know what you guys are talking about... but it's great!

  • Delish! I have made the recipe as written, and also made it with light versions of the cream cheese and half-and-half. They were both very good. Very rich and creamy

  • I used this recipe for creamed spinach and not only was it a hit at home but my husband told a few of his co-workers that I had made creamed spinach that tastes as good as Boston Market. They were skeptical at first but I made some and he took it to work with him and made them believers

  • just made it double sized for thanksgiving... used 1 cup half and half and then one cup whole milk and lowfat creamcheese...also used 3 bags raw leaf spinach and 1 frozen spinach... turned out great! I was nervous when they asked me to do the creamed spinach becasue i had never made it, but my familiy loved it!

  • its sooo good. tastes like a Boston Market made it for me!Thanks!

  • I reluctantly tried Boston Market's Cream Spinach for the first time a few weeks ago, and loved it. I vowed that I was going to find the recipe and try it for Thanksgiving. I JUST finished cooking this recipe, and WOWWWW! It tastes great. The nutmeg sets the whole dish off. THANX!

  • It Tastes Compleatly And Horribly GROSE!!!

  • I used three pound of fresh spinach and it worked well too. Chop it up and saute it in butter and garlic first, then add to this recipe. I think it is still missing tat certain special thing that makes boston Market reamed spinach so d-liscious, but still worth a try...

  • I've never had Boston Market creamed spinach, but this recipe is awesome!

  • Perfect. It was easy to make and finally, my kids will eat their spinach. I precooked the frozen spinach in the microwave before moving it into the pan, about 6 minutes in the microwave (while making the cream mixture). I cooked the spinach and cream mixture together for about 10 minutes. Loved that the flavors blended together so fast. This was a 30 minute side dish from packages to table. Thanks.

  • Omg...the cream spinach recipe was right on key. Thank you so much my family enjoyed it alot. This will be a new addition to Thanksgiving dinner :)

  • MMMM thank you I could eat this everyday.. After ready what goes in it.. Every other day

  • Thank you. Great recipe.

  • GREAT RECIPE ... VERY EASY AND DELICIOUS!!!

  • Well I decided to try this last night, though I deviated a bit at making the white sauce... I actually used a couple pieces of bacon for the fat in it, instead of just butter. I also roasted some garlic while I got things together, and added some capers as well. Luckily I have leftovers, I almost wanna eat them for breakfast!!

  • I LOVE THIS!!! AND IT'S SO EASY TO MAKE!!! I HAD CREAMED SPINACH AT SHULA'S IN NEW ORLEANS, I'VE WANTED MORE SINCE THEN, I DID A SEARCH AND FOUND YOUR RECIPE. NOTHING CAN BEAT THIS, IT'S WONDERFUL!!!! I OMITTED THE NUTMEG, ONLY HAD 1/2 TSP OF MINCED FRESH GARLIC, AND ADDED MORE SALT & PEPPER. YOU'RE GREAT!!!! • I've used this method of making creamed spinach for years. I usually just use whole milk instead of the cream, and put drops of tobasco sauce in to taste. I don't know if anyone notices, but Boston Market's creamed spinach has a bit of spice to it.

  • Made creamed spinach for dinner tonight. Very, very good. Will prepare again and again. Thanks

  • I LOVE Boston Market's Creamed Spinach. Now, I don't do a lot of cooking, but when we were putting together our Thanksgiving menu, it occurred to me that if Boston Market can make it, there must be a recipe out there somewhere! So I Googled Creamed Spinach and your wonderful website came up. I made it & it was a GREAT hit! Now we're going to have it for Christmas, too, and it may become a family tradition! Thank you!

  • Oh My Goodness....This tastes just like Boston Market's....Anyone who is a spinach lover like me knows that Boston Market's creamed spinach is AMAZING....LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!

  • I generally don't eat creamed spinach, but this recipe made me a "convert". I put in a little bit more than a 1/4 cup of parmesan (more like a 1/3 cup) the second time I made it. Both recipes are yummy!

  • OMG, I luff it. Which is saying something, since I'm 12. xD

  • I absolutely love this receipe! One of the best, what a hit for everyone. My husband is requesting it again tonight, oh well, what the heck it is fabulous! The only alternation I did, was add in some tobasco sauce for a little extra flavor!

  • Hi I first tried this boston market spinach in Sydney Australia, and got the guy to tell me the recipe and wrote it on a napkin, made it at home, wonderful. So pleased to get it again on here.Lost the first one.

  • Mmmmmmmm, soooooo good!!!! I LOVE IT. I thought the comments could have been a fake, I'm sorry 4 that but once I tasted the creamed spinach I knew they were all real. This is such a tasty recipe. The cream base is so good I am goin to use it to make other recipes. Thank-U 4 ur webpage. I will be checking out the other recipes.

  • I LOVE THE SPINACH & ARTICHOKE DIP YOU GET AS AN APPETIZER OUT AT RESTAURANTS AND HAVE TRIED TO MAKE IT AT HOME BUT IT WAS NEVER AS GOOD. I USED THIS RECIPE AND DOUBLED THE AMOUNT OF CREAM CHEESE AND ADDED A CAN OF ARTICHOKE HEARTS THAT I CUT INTO SMALL PIECES. IT WAS EQUAL TO OR BETTER THAN ANY RESTAURANT VERSION. I'VE SHARED IT WITH ALL MY FRIENDS.

  • It was delicious! I cut the 1/2 and 1/2 and the cream cheese amounts in half and it was still creamy. I just added a few drops of hot sauce to it to zip up the flavor.

  • wow!!! The best creamed spinach ever!! thanks so much ;)

  • A delicious recipe...I doubled the salt and liked it even more. I tried a little Frank's Red Hot to make it a little spicy but not lose the great flavor!

  • THIS RECIPE FOR CREAMED SPINACH IS GREAT!! YUM YUM YUM! EVERYONE LOVED IT.

  • This came out wonderful. Now I don't have to worry anymore if there is a Boston Market in the area, I can make it myself!

  • Served this with Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it! I forgot to fold in the parmesan cheese at the end and it was still fantastic. This one is a keeper. Thanks!

  • Its delicious. It can use a bit more salt.

  • I needed a recipe for Thanksgiving. This was perfect. I added a little more nutmeg and a little more onions. Really easy, too!

  • This is absolutely amazing! It is in very high demand at all of my family functions and will remain my secret recipe.

  • WOW! Sooooo GOOOD!!!! Thank you! I used 2 parts soymilk (sweetened, and not vanilla!) and 1 part soy creamer instead of half and half (lower fat and adds that faint sweetness I like in creamed spinach), doubled the salt but used unsalted butter, used light whipped cream cheese, and used crushed prepared garlic (for a tiny bit more sweetness) and red onion. This is the best creamed spinach I've ever had. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!.
